Product Description
Yoga Darshan gives a contemporary yogic vision of the Upanishads. Taking a holistic and practical view of spiritual life, the book introduces the various philosophies that have made Yoga what it is. Divided into two parts, Yoga Darshan provides a view of yoga that is both panoramic and precise. In the first part the different traditions and philosophies of yoga are clearly identified and explained along with clear expositions of Hatha, Raja, Mantra, Karma, Jnana, Laya and esoteric yogas. The second part deals with classical practices, the yogic view of how the body works and how yoga deals with the question of health.
Yoga Darshan is a central textbook for all Bihar Yoga Bharati undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

This is indeed a major book. The Yoga Tradition is alive and adapting to universal audience and modern science. In this very complete and generous book, the author present the Yoga science in a very well organised manner. If the book is not for the debutant it is absolutly accessible to the motivated reader and you should find it very stimulating and ..surprising! For me this book will be a companion and I know I will go back to it many times and with pleasure.
