Fees:
Teachers joining the 500 hour training pay a registration fee of £30 and after the first year the regular annual fee of £24.95 to remain on the Register. Approved Yoga Alliance core modules and approved guest workshops will be payable separately.

500 Hour Entry Requirements

We accept students who fall into the one of the following categories;

• Yoga Alliance (or equivalent) 200 hour graduate
• Union Yoga 200 hour graduate
• Yoga Teacher - Minimum 300 hours teaching practice*
• Yoga Teacher with approved 200 hour Teacher Training Certificate*
  

* Please provide evidence of teaching and photographs or digital images of you demonstrating the following three asanas:

• Marichyasana ‘C’
• Salamba Sirsasana
• Urdhva Dhanurasana. 
  

500 HOUR TRAINING: Overview

This course has been structured to suit your interests and time constraints.
You need to complete the required hours, but there is NO time limit set for this. You are free to choose which core modules and guest workshops you want to attend, provided you attend at least 1 CORE MODULE per year.
The core modules will look in greater depth at key areas of teaching practice and also introduce new concepts and advanced practices. Our Guest Workshops are led by some of the world's top yoga teachers.
What a wonderful way to gain your 500 hour diploma!

To complete the 500 hour course you are required to attend a FInal Assessment and Graduation weekend.

500 HOUR TRAINING: Course Conditions
If a teacher decides to join the 500 hour training, the following applies:

• The number of contact hours (assuming the 200 hour is completed) will be 160 and hours can be accumulated through Yoga Alliance core modules and approved guest workshops.
• You are required to attend a minimum of seven Yoga Alliance core modules.
• Approved guest teacher workshops will also contribute towards contact hours. These modules may take place in different locations, and may form part of specialist workshops. Approved guest teacher workshops will only count towards total hours after the teacher has formally joined the 500 hour programme
• The remaining 140 hours are accumulated through mentoring 200 hour diploma students, assisting on the 200 hour course, and written assignments.
• Teachers are required to act as mentors to students on the 200 hour diploma courses.Teachers will where possible be encouraged to assist in some of the teaching in the 200 hour programme. The hours spent in this will contribute towards the total hours.
• You will automatically become a member of the Yoga Alliance UK Register for the first year. Everyone joining the Register is required to attend one Yoga Alliance approved core module per year to remain on the Register. The core module also counts towards the 500 hour diploma course.
• To qualify the teacher must complete an assessment towards the end of the course.
• A discount of 20% will be available towards Yoga Alliance core modules and approved guest workshops.
