Yoga practicioners of all levels will find this book beneficial as they seek to take their yoga practice to the next level. If you practice Ashtanga yoga, then you are undoubtably already familiar with the Moola Bandha, or "root lock." If not, a little background is in order. In Indian yogic lore, this is the most important of the Bandhas (tightening of the areas of the body related to the location of the Chakras). The yogis believe substantial health and psychic benefits are to be gained through the practice. It is my opinion that practicing the Moola Bandha has greatly enhanced my yoga practice.
This book is divided into two parts. Part one focuses on the benefits of the Moola Bandha practice, while part two covers various poses and techniques for working the Moola Bandha.
As a relative new comer to yoga, I found this book to be intelligently written, insightful and practical. Recommended.
