It is difficult to express in mere words what David Deida's "Dear Lover" means to me even after the third reading. His writing is deeply poetic, spiritual and speaks directly to the heart of all women who have known the pain and pleasure of love. In lyrical and loving words, David describes a man's deepest desires mingling with the longings of a woman.
The style of Dear Lover is very appealing and the beginning of each chapter is almost blissful as you read the desires of a man speaking about his need to open you to God through a romantic and spiritual union. The beauty is stunning and inevitably my pillow is wet with tears as I read and read, wishing this is what all men feel in their deepest heart.
These are not just letters from a man who is communicating with his deepest being, they are letters to give insight into the nature of a man. What are his true desires, loves, pleasures?
