Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!], Tuesday 04 May, 2004 Reviewer: Reader from Mountain View, CA, United States
This book has three sections, all of them useful! First, an introduction to the SCIENCE of aromatherapy, which (for instance) quotes double-blind placebo studies. Then there is a guide to individual essential oils and uses -- I only wish there were rarer oils included! The third section explains safe effective uses for ailments and preventative care, including recipes. The skincare recipes are very useful. A beginner can get the BEST advice (although it can get technical). For serious aromatherapy, self-treatment or practice, this book is a MUST!
